Wake up people! It s up to you! - I would just like to add this little note on behalf some comments that were made after reading this book by other people. First of all, nobody is going to hold your hand and tell you what to do! Don t expect step by step guide on how to get rich quick and be a Donald Trump!! This is a good book with some valuable info. I am on page 100 and got more out of it than anything else i read before on Real Estate. It is upseting to see people criticize and act like million dollar transactions weren t presented in the book or on the web site. Author is trying to make money, Good for him!! isn t it what everybody is trying to do??? He probably has some valuable experience and tries to share it, it is just another business venture and if you don t like it don t buy the book. Like i said book has some good info only if you put it to work, nobody is going to hold your hand, get out there and buy some properties keep reading, a book is never a bad purchase, don t listen to complainers who think that they will buy a bucket of gold for $22!!

Surprisingly simple - a good place to start - For someone who is just starting out, this may be the right book for you. Campbell explains the fundamentals of property analysis, from the neighbourhood to the number crunching on the homes themselves. Even though much of the book is structured around the experience of one of his clients, Richard, aka Rich, but he s not, unlike many other books, Richard and Emma s experience is applicable to most situations... Even though many of the property analysis techniques he offers are no-brainers, he is correct in saying that emotions should be removed from the equation. I would highly recommend this book and Douglas Gray s Making Money in Canadian Residential Real Estate as a must-have source for beginners and experts alike.

Why this book is great! - Its true that this book isnt all encompassing. No books are (I hate shakespear...).However: i know 2 people who use the rein system to derive wich locations will and will not grow your money. And thats the point isnt it? He writes in the first little bit that the REIN system is not a get rich quick solve all your problems book. Its for growing wealth. There are plenty of boos out there on specifics but this book is great at laying down a VERY SOLID FOUNDATION for making your money return in better shape than it left.

A Straightforward Starting Point and Guide to Real Estate Investing - First off, I AM a member of the Real Estate Investment Network, I have read this book, and I return to this book quite often. I am NOT a member of a cult (as some reviewers imply and would like you to believe). This book lays the foundation for making real estate investing a long term wealth creation strategy. Does this book provide a magic formula for building a Donald Trump-ish empire? No, and if that is what you are looking for, good luck! I believe what you are looking for is just down the road, and take your second right at the enchanted forest. Anyone who thinks they are going to learn it all in one book is destined for failure. What this book provides is a starting point for your real estate investing journey. Again, it lays the foundation and provides you with insights on what you need to know - and to further expand upon ON YOUR OWN - at the different stages of the investing process. It is NOT a get-rich-quick-scheme by any sense of the imagination. Before you believe reviews - and that includes this one of mine - do your own due diligence, do not listen to pessimistic nay-sayers, and do not listen to adrenaline-pumping hype-sters. Get the facts, get all the information you need, and decide yourself. This book is not a bible, rather it is a reference. Remember that, and you will do just fine.

What s behind the curtain? - To use Don R Campbell s own words What s behind the curtain?. This is the first book I have read about real estate investments and I did find it somewhat informative. It provides good common sense for researching properties, areas, negotiations. It did also provide allot of positive enthusiasm and confidence...a bit like a self help book would provide. But the content seems superficial, there is no details on how to raise capital. ex: We get the impression Richard is flat broke yet he has the cash to buy an investment property!?!?!?! What is the minimum required capital required for investment property compared to personal property? How do we nogotiate with the real estate agent as compared to the seller, which I would assume would be the case most times.Going to the asssociated web sight was the biggest disappointment. The first impression is buyer beware. Internet marketing at its most agressive. Leaves me wondering where did they actually make there money, on real estate or on selling the hype and other products?Either way the book did have allot of good information to encourage me in studying more about Real Estate Investments. I would recommend to anybody who wants to consider this type of investment with a strong caution of BEWARE - WHAT S BEHIND THE CURTAIN
